GOALS:

• Fill the surf shop gap on Haida Gwaii- offer essential surf gear + more

• Offer rental options year round with discounted rates for local youth

• Partner with local programs and schools

• Build a welcoming surf culture in Masset

TIMELINE:

Summer / Fall 2026 - start small

• Open an online surf shop offering surf gear essentials + ROCKFiSH merch - local pick up and shipping options

• Offer rentals from a small selection of surfboards, SUPs, boogie boards and wetsuits - online booking and appointment only

• THE DREAM - start building a small surf shop space

Winter 2026/2027 - slowly grow

• Expand online retail

• Continue to offer rentals

• THE DREAM - open up shop space ?!

Summer 2027 and beyond - also THE DREAM

• Fully operational surf shop stocked with surf esstionals, merch, local art

• Full fleet of rental gear

• Local youth programming through partnerships with local organizations

• Offer local wetsuit and surfboard consignment
